Here at StedyChefs we will be offering courses to all adults, inclusive of young adults (15+), adults with learning disabilities and older of whom have a passion for food.

Enabling them to learn in a safe and fun environment. 

While on the course they will achieve in house certificates per module, work base experience, food knowledge, cookery skills and with a transferable accredited food hygiene certificate.

With the above skills gained, this will hopefully lead on to creating employment opportunities while expanding basic cookery skills and independent living skills.

  • All courses available for Adults with Disabilities

    All our Cookery school courses for adults with learning disabilities will operate

    Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm unless specified.

     

    Costings were stated includes a travel options and a lunch option.  Travel option will offer a collection and drop off service via the student’s home address. This will be between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm. A Lunch option will be offered to each student. However, they will have access to a break room with microwave and basic facilities if they do wish to bring their own.

  • Student are set achievable goals of completing 7 modules split over the year. (43 weeks of study time). While on the course they will achieve in-house certificates per module, work base experience, food knowledge, cookery skills and finish with a transferable accredited food hygiene certificate. 

    With the above skills gained, this will hopefully lead on to creating employment opportunities within hospitality, while expanding basic cookery skills and independent living skills. 

    The course is delivered to professional standard by our qualified team who have over 30 years’ experience within hospitality and 10 years in senior support. Our team have an extensive knowledge base to pass on to our students. 

    Enrolment will run every 7 weeks. This will allow new students to commence at different times throughout the course. However, to complete each year of the course all 7 modules will need to be completed. 

    The students timetable will cover 7 modules at entry level. During each module, students will be given the opportunity to cook. The more days attending the more practical work the students will get do. For example, cooking, prepping, attending events and days out. 

    All our module portfolios will evidence the students work in a way suitable to their individual need. Due to small groups this will allow us to give additional help and support some students that may require it. 

    As entry level Yr1, we will be covering all the basics giving the student the confidence to work and evidence this. Enabling them to progress to future courses. From Food hygiene to Baking. 

    Our students who will be on option 2 will follow the same course as option one however will not have an end date and not work toward an accredited qualification but will gain similar knowledge and in-house achievements set as personal goals.

    This fantastic course is to enable our students to gain skills, which can be transferred progress in to employment. After initial meeting and assessment of needs the students will be put working towards an achievable goal dependant on experience and ability. This employment pathway plan will start at yr1 –  basic intro to food and progress Yr 2 Confidence in cooking and yr3 Skills and knowledge course. Upon the completion of the 3 years we will work with our student and other professional to give them the stepping stone into employment. Each year is a 43 week course allows our students to learn skills which can be transferred into employment. Working towards and achieving an accredited Food Hygiene Certificates. A transport service and lunch option is included.

    For many students who have a passion for food and are eager to learn but won’t continue to go into employment within the catering sector. This course will allow to further their knowledge and skills in an ongoing learning environment, hitting targets and goals set on the way. This is a long-term ongoing provision which provides routine and stability for students who have a direct passion and would like to direct their day to day provision in a subject they enjoy. Not only will this improve their knowledge, but it will give them a social circle whilst learning new skills. While learning to their needs our students will be given basic introductions to new skills for their own independence, allowing them to make informed choices in their day to day lives with the opportunity to have days out each module with their peers who also attend the course. Students will attend a minimum of 2 days per week for 43 weeks per year. Priced at just £70 , per day with a transport service and lunch option included.

  • Our ILS Course gives the student the basic skills of being able to budget, meal-plan and bulk cook in a safe and hygienic way. This would be beneficial to students who would look to gain home-cooking skills and further their knowledge in a fun learning environment, whilst gaining personal development. A student attending this course will gain the confidence to try new things and have their own recipes to take away and put into use at home. This course is 12 days over 12 weeks (1 day per week). With payment plans an option and just a deposit to secure placement, Give a member of our team a call. £700, A transport service and lunch option can be offered at additional charge.

  • These courses will be personally tailored around the individuals’ needs and be set on acquired time as requested. A member of our team will work closely with the individual to set personal, achievable goals with sufficient outcomes. From healthy eating plans to independent living skills. One of our dedicated qualified trainers will work closely with you to put the correct course together, setting achievable targets and outcomes for the learner.From £50 per learner per day with a certificate. A transport service and lunch option can be offered and added in to course costings.

  • This course would be ideal for anybody wishing to further their cookery skills with a basic understanding of Food Safety, Planning and Budgeting. This will promote a healthy menu, cooking from scratch on a household budget. Whilst gaining confidence in the kitchen and basic skills you will have the knowledge to go on to further your cooking experience and make home cooked nutritious meal.

    This course is 6 days over 6 weeks (1 day per week). 9.30am to 2.30pm.Meals made on each day will be offered for the learned to take home to enjoy.

  • A range of Cake baking, and decorating courses will be available from icing, piping, modelling, small and large cakes. Our baking course will cover tarts, biscuits and tray bakes for just a few examples. Wanting to create the perfect desert then these will be the courses for you. From celebration cakes to home desserts to impress your family and friends.

  • Learn to hand craft pizzas from scratch. You will be taught skills of kneading, proofing, shaping and hand stretching authentic created dough. Then cooking using correct timing and temperatures in our stone baked oven you will be sure to produce the best tasting pizza possible!!! These courses are held on a Monday or Fridays 9.30am to 5.30pm, Refreshments included and obviously all the pizza you make.

  • Looking for a change? Need more skills? We now offer a silver-service training course to further your ability as a Front of House member of staff. Not only will this give you further confidence within your role but will also allow you to go for bookings with specific requirements.

  • Whilst undertaking our bar tender course you will gain an understanding of safe working behind a bar, customer engagement and challenge 25. Ensuring you know the legalities of serving alcohol. Also, cash handling and stock serving.

    These courses will be offered on individual ticket sales with description of courses per booking.

  • Barista training is a skilled role which on this course will be shown the correct ways to serve up the most appealing beverages. whiles going over cash handling and till training the main part of the course is showing the use of the machines and how to get the best from your gained skill

    For just £90 you could gain skills to further your employment with in just 4 hours.

  • During these cookery workshops, we will be offering a range of cookery courses from Korean Cooking, Chinese Cooking to Vegan Cookery Skills. Whilst offering duel or couple cookery lessons.  All information will be as per ticket per booking.

     

    all courses will be delivered to a professional standard with a Stedychefs certificate provided the student will have all equipment and ingredients and uniform provided so will just need to turn up on the day booked. Lunch and or refreshments will be available on the day of attendance.

  • This is the standard required for anyone who handles, prepares, cooks and serves food.

    It will cover legislations and Laws the EHO will inspect and enforce.  A combination of food safety including bacteria, physical & chemical contamination, personal hygiene, cleaning, pest & waste control will be covered to allow employees to safely and confidently work with food.

     

    Level 1 half day training – Would give people new to the industry with little or no food safety knowledge a basic understanding of guidelines and procedures which working around food.

    Blended accredited certificate- £48.95   Inhouse StedyChefs certificate – £36.95.

     

    This Level 2 full day training –  Food Hygiene Course will give you the understanding of Legal Responsibilities and best practice regarding controlling food hazards, controlling food temperatures, food storage, food preparation, personal hygiene and premises cleaning while having direct contact in food prep or service.

  • Food Allergen awareness course will give you the confidence to produce and serve dishes knowing the allergen and how to display these for consumers, whilst following the latest allergenic ingredient law and updates. We will go through a few items from your menu and show you exactly how to show what’s in the dish whiles also providing a template of a spread sheet for you to continue with the rest.

  • This course covers the nationally approved syllabus and content for Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace. It will include up to date work place laws and how to implement them within  day to day duties. We will also provide you with a template of risk assessments and show why they should be completed and how to do them. The level2 certificate will give the knowledge in how to prevent accidents and how to record if they may occur while following COSHH guidelines and RIDDOR.  Basic manual handling and equipment, first aids and fire safety awareness will also be covered. We will assist you in setting up a compliant Health and Safety folder for your work place.

  • Are you looking for a team of professionals who are qualified and experienced in delivering training? We can ensure your staff have a basic knowledge and understanding of essential training in their work environment. We can put together bespoke in-house courses to cover health and safety at work, Food Hygiene, basic first aid and allergen awareness. These will be tailored around your work place while working with you to include job role specifics. While providing templates for your responsible person to complete this ensures compliance for future practice.   

    These courses are non-transferable, and purpose based to your company. All learners will be given an in-house certificate including your company logo once passed and completed. 1 to 5 learners are individual prices, for 6 or more learners if a group booking at discounted rate.
